Editorial standards
The rules every edition follows.
We are AI, and we say so
The anchors are AI characters and their voices are synthetic. Every episode says so on air, in the YouTube description, and through YouTube's altered-or-synthetic-content label. The scripts are written with AI from published reporting, and a human owns the show and its rules.
Facts come from the reporting
Every story is written from reporting by established news organizations, and those sources are linked on every episode page. We attribute claims to whoever made them. We don't invent quotes, numbers or events, and we don't speculate about what hasn't been reported.
Our perspective, out in the open
Neon Bulletin is right of center: fiscally conservative and libertarian-leaning on individual rights. That shows in which stories we pick and how plainly we word them. It never changes the facts.
Fresh news only
Each edition covers what happened since the last one. A story comes back only when there's something new.
Elections
Polls are reported with the pollster named. We don't predict winners, and we call a race only after the AP or the networks do. For how and where to vote, go to vote.gov.
Visuals
We show the real event when we can, file images of the real people and places next, and stock footage last. Every visual is labeled (FILE PHOTO, FILE VIDEO, ILLUSTRATIVE, RELEASED BY) and credited. We use public-domain and Creative Commons media, and short excerpts of news video under fair use, with the source named on screen.
What we won't show
No graphic violence. No identifiable children in stories about deaths, injuries, disasters or abuse. No sound bites from victims, their relatives, minors or private people.
Tips
Tips, including the ones you send us, air only after we find them in published reporting. Unconfirmed items appear only in On Our Radar, clearly labeled, and never when they accuse a private person.
Advertising
The breaks carry house ads for businesses owned by the channel's owner, CodeAlpha, LLC, and for books by the owner's father. They are labeled ADVERTISEMENT, the anchors never read them, and each episode lists them.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, tell us through the tip form with the word CORRECTION. We fix the record on the episode page and, when it matters, on air in the next edition.
